Internet connections around the world
17:16 16-12-2003
Today, while browsing the web I found a website with facts and figures about the geography of internet connections around the world, or also called: telegeography. Did you know the connection from Amsterdam to London has a bandwidth of 3Terrabit/s? Maybe it doesn't have a lot to do with HTML, but why making HTML's when nobody can connect to them? Just follow this link and you'll find where I'm talking about.
The once so good Opera browser
10:34 29-10-2003
Sad but true: I lost my faith in the once so good Opera browser. More and more I start to find out that the Opera browser shows very strange behaviour when it comes to padding, percentage use and margin settings. Or to use the words of Douglas Bowman: "this inconsistent behaviour circumvents all natural logic". Actually saying its: "#$%^&@".
On the other hand Firebird and Phoenix show their quality, when it comes to adequate HTML "translation". So I stopped the battle of making my HTML's Opera, mozilla and IE proof, although this website looks the same in all of them, including Opera. All of you that "still" use Opera... sorry.
Mistake in IE
18:31 14-7-2003
My good friend Fernando pointed out the following mistake in IE; the missing equal sign and quotes:
.<form>
<input type foo>
</form>
</html>
Netscape and Mozilla both do their jobs, they give no errors at all. Nice effect of the IE error: Windows OS hangs completely due to the preview it generates in explorer.
